Frevo is a Brazilian music style characterized by an extremely accelerated and festive rhythm. It’s very executed during the Carnival in the northeast of Brazil, especially in the state of Pernambuco. FREVO DIABO ORCHESTRA is the first musical group dedicated to the genre “frevo” assembled and active outside the State of Pernambuco. Making part of that project as a leader, producer, composer, arranger and guitar player, Daniel had the privilege to win the Brazilian Grammy ("Pêmio da Música Brasileira, 2010") with the first orchestra´s album.

Eulogized by one of the greatest maestros on frevo’s history, Ademir Araújo, Frevo Diabo Orchestra takes the genre out of its regionalism turning it into a universal music style. The group connects tradition and innovation by combining popular composers like Chico Buarque and Edu Lobo to regional/folk songwriters like Capiba and Nelson Ferreira, alongside with their own compositions.
